TECHTERA was present at the TexComp-15 conference in Leuven from the 11th to 13th of September.
This event gathered specialists of the technical textiles and composite sector for three days rich in research and knowledge sharing. The presented work tackled very technical topics such as yarn and fibre-scale modelling, manufacturing of textile preforms or even, toughness, defects and mechanical testing. The conference featured a keynote from Philippe Sanial, R&D Director at project partner Chomarat and President of Techtera, about the challenges and opportunities of sustainability for textiles in composites.
It was also an occasion to present the MC4 project via a poster presentation. First, a two-minute pitch was done in order to introduce the subject and attract visitors to come and see the poster. After that, the poster session started and gathered many people around the MC4 poster. This was a great dissemination opportunity as it allowed to touch a very technical public that was able to challenge the project and make some interesting suggestions.
More opportunities to connect with us and the results of MC4 are coming; among them, project partners AMURA and Chomarat will be present on Metstrade Amsterdam (November 17-21) to showcase rCF technical textiles and composite parts for the boatbuilding industry.
