Symposium for polymer recycling

Schedule of the event

On the 5th and 6th of November will take place the “Colloque Recyclage des polymères” (Symposium for polymers recycling) at Clermont Ferrand in France. This event is the occasion to bring together actors from the polymer sector, meaning industrials from the plastic, textile and rubber sectors. It will be the second edition of this national event and will have several objectives:

  • Present the regulatory developments relating to the management of polymer waste and its reincorporation into new products, at both national and European level.
  • Highlight the structuring initiatives undertaken at national level.
  • Share the vision of prime contractors.
  • Highlight innovative polymer recycling projects and players.
  • Present funding opportunities for innovation projects as part of the ‘France 2030’ plan.

Opportunities for the MC4 project

This event is opened to all types of players: start-ups, SMEs, ETIs, groups, academic laboratories, universities, technical centers, institutions. All of these are organizations responsible for collecting and sorting waste, waste processors, developers of polymer recycling solutions, equipment manufacturers, chemists and integrators of recycled materials, etc.

This gathering represents a big opportunity to bring together the key players in the sector. Indeed, we are at a time when polymer recycling represents a critical international challenge to be addressed in the coming years. Moreover, it will also be a valuable occasion to present the results of the MC4 project, highlighting the progress made as well as the challenges encountered throughout the process.

TECHTERA will be present for dissemination and communication purposes and the CEA will take part in a conference to present their work. They will explain their new thermosetting vitrimer epoxy resin, which is not only recyclable but also high-performing. This newly developed matrix is being used for the long-term recycling process of glass fibre reinforced composite in the MC4 project.
